Mad Sleeps

Reading time: < 1 minute

The days have been getting hotter and the air more stifling. I still get only about five and half hours of sleep which I assume contributes to my morning sleepiness. I need a nap basically right after I get to work because my eyes are too tired and dry to get any work done.

Added to that, I’ve been under serious cognitive overload from different aspects of my life and they’re not really cohesive issues that I can resolve by chunking them together. They all require varying amounts of time and attention, leaving me exhausted and more than that, paralyzed. I just sit in my chair and can’t manage to summon a single executive function.

So what does this mean for me? Probably the best course of action given my crippling lethargy in the morning is to make a list of things I have to do the next morning, down to the minutiae of my routines so that I can circumvent cognitive overload as much as possible. Possibly also find a way to nap for 10-15 minutes in the morning would help. Either, or.
